How to Set Up Custom Fields

Mekari Sign provides a Custom Fields feature that allows document creators to create custom columns in multiple documents at once. Once created, the Custom field can be reused and is available to be filled in.

Here are the steps.

  1. Go to the Settings menu, click Custom fields.

  2. Click “Create new field”.

  3. Then, complete the custom field creation form.

1 Name Fill in with the name of the custom field you want to create.
2 Type

Select one of the field types, such as Text, Email, Currency, Phone number, Date, and others. Then, complete the format settings and Text setting for that Custom Field.

When you select the custom field type, you must specify advanced settings related to that type. For example, for Date, you can choose the date format as follows:

- Font type: Choose the font type.
- Font size: Choose the font size, weight, italic, or underline.
- Font color: Set the font color.
- Context text: Fill in with the custom field content text if needed.
- Lock content text: Click to lock the content text.
- Placeholder text: Fill in with the custom field label as a marker.
- Helper tooltip: Fill in with instructions for the custom field if needed.

Select users who can use this field.
- All users: All Mekari Sign users.
- Selected users: Only some users you select.

 

- Select users: Click to select users.
- Delete icon (-): Click to remove a name from the list.

  1. Click “Save” to save the Custom field.

  2. The created Custom field will be saved in the list. To edit or delete a single custom field, you can click “Actions” then Edit or Delete.

    You can perform a Bulk Delete by checking multiple custom fields at once.
