Mekari Sign supports signing through SingPass for documents that must meet signing requirements in Singapore. Document creators can prepare and send documents via Mekari Sign, while each signer will complete the signing process directly through SingPass. Here are the steps.
A. How to Upload Documents
Go to the Documents menu.
To upload a new document, click the “Upload document” button.
Upload the document by clicking the “Upload document” button.
In the Document Compliance section, select Local and choose SingPass under the Country section.
Click “Continue” to proceed.
Enter the name and email of the user who will sign or receive the document.
Select Needs to sign if the user needs to sign, and select Receives a copy to receive a copy. Click “Continue” to proceed.
To add a signature, first select the subject who will provide the signature, then choose Signature and place the signature position where desired.
Click “Continue” to proceed to the next step.
On this page, you can rename the document if needed and click “Continue”.
Finally, you can adjust settings on the Review and send page, and if no changes are needed, click “Send document”.

B. How to Sign a Document
To sign a document, click the “Sign” button.
On the next page, click the “Sign with SingPass” button.
You will then be redirected to the SingPass “Log in with SingPass” page.
Next, scan the barcode using the SingPass app on your smartphone.
After scanning the barcode using the SingPass app, click the “Approve” button.
Then, in the SingPass app, click the “Get signing certificate to begin” button to sign the document.
To sign the document, click the “Next” button.
Then click “Proceed to Sign” to place the signature on the document.
A barcode like this will appear; scan it again using your SingPass app.
Make sure the code displayed on the website and the SingPass app is the same.
The document has now been successfully signed. You can choose “View Signed Document” to view the signed document or select “Leave Sign Portal” to return to the Mekari Sign page.
