How to Enable Email Notifications

Email notifications are a feature that makes it easy for you to receive alerts related to Mekari Sign via email. However, to receive these notifications, you must enable them first. Here are the steps.

  1. Go to the Settings menu.

  2. Then click the “Notification” tab.

  3. There are 3 (three) categories of settings that you can configure: Documents, Approvals, and eMeterai.

    1 Documents To manage notifications for various events such as sending, signing, and completing documents.
    2 Approvals To customize notifications related to approval requests and decisions.
    3 eMeterai To manage notifications about eMeterai status, including quota updates and stamping.
  4. In Documents, you can configure notification settings for Document maker, Signer, and Receive a copy.

    Button Function
    Reset to default setting Click to revert to the original settings.
    Enable/Disable notifications Click to enable/disable all toggle buttons in that category.
    Document maker

    As the document maker, you can customize notifications for:

    • Recipient signed: Enable to receive notifications when the recipient signs or declines the document.
    • Recipient declined: Enable to receive notifications when the document recipient declines the document.
    • Document completed: Enable to receive notifications when the document has been completed.
    • Recipient viewed: Enable this to receive notifications when the document recipient has opened and viewed the document.
    • Document is expiring soon: Enable to track when the document is about to expire or the approaching expiration date.
    • Document expired: Enable to receive notifications of document expiration.
    • A comment posted: Enable this if you need notifications about feedback or questions posted by recipients.
    Signer

    As the signer, you can customize notifications for:

    • Recipient declined: Enable to receive notifications when the recipient declines the document.
    • Document completed: Enable to receive notifications when the document has been completed.
    • Recipient viewed: Enable this to receive notifications when the document recipient has opened and viewed the document.
    • Document is expiring soon: Enable to track when the document is about to expire or the approaching expiration date.
    • Document expired: Enable to receive notifications of document expiration.
    • A comment posted: Enable this if you need notifications about feedback or questions posted by recipients.
    Receive a copy

    As a recipient of a document copy, you can customize notifications for:

    • Recipient declined: Enable to receive notifications when the recipient declines the document.
    • Document completed: Enable to receive notifications when the document has been completed.
    • Recipient viewed: Enable this to receive notifications when the document recipient has opened and viewed the document.
    • Document is expiring soon: Enable to track when the document is about to expire or the approaching expiration date.
    • Document expired: Enable to receive notifications of document expiration.
    • A comment posted: Enable this if you need notifications about feedback or questions posted by recipients.
  5. In Approvals, you can configure notification settings for Requestor and Approver.

    Requestor

    As the requestor, you can customize notifications for:

    • Approver is approved: Enable to receive notifications when the approver approves the document.
    • Document is rejected: Enable to receive notifications when the approver rejects the document.
    • Document approved: Enable to receive notifications when the document has been approved by all approvers.
    Approver

    As the approver, you can customize notifications for:

    • Approver rejected: Enable to receive notifications when the approver rejects the document.
    • Document approved: Enable to receive notifications when the document has been approved by all approvers.
    • Document canceled: Enable to receive notifications when the document is canceled by the requestor.
  6. In eMeterai, you can configure notification settings for Signer.

    Button Function
    Reset to default setting Click to revert to the original settings.
    Enable/Disable notifications Click to enable/disable all toggle buttons in that category.
    Signer

    As the signer, you can customize notifications for:

    • Stamping is in progress: Enable to receive notifications when the eMeterai stamping has started.
    • Stamping completed: Enable to receive notifications when the eMeterai stamping has been completed.
    • Stamping failed: Enable to receive notifications when the eMeterai stamping has failed.
  7. To make it easier to switch settings between categories, click the “<” or “>” icons. You can also use the Search bar to find specific notification settings.
